Also for 2002 the company "I Battelli del Brenta® " offers guided boat trips along the Brenta Canal visiting some of the Venetian Villas, summer residences homes of the16th century along the "Riviera del Brenta" with stops at the more grandiose palazzos with its legendary frescoes.

Once, along this course sailed the "burchielli", boats that carried the venetian nobles and the patricians, nowadays, all the boats that cruise along the Brenta Canal are called burchielli.

In order to render the boat cruise more pleasant, avoiding the explanations on board in four languages, our company separate the groups for language, in different boats.

The touristic navigation is carried out by the company "I Battelli del Brenta" by motorships from 160 to 200 passengers and by motorboats from 70 to135 passengers or by “Burci” and “Bragozzi” – romantic restored wooden barges.

A charming cruise which crosses 9 swing bridges and 5 locks, real "waterlifts" which permit to raise or lower the water level of 10 metres existing between Venice and Padua.

The guided excursions usually include boat trips from Venice towards Padua (Venezia, Fusina, Malcontenta, Oriago, Mira, Dolo, Strà, Noventa Padovana, Padova) or from Padua towards Venice (Padova, Noventa Padovana, Strà, Dolo, Mira, Oriago, Malcontenta, Fusina, Venezia); stop and entrance to the Villa Gradenigo of Oriago, to the Villa Barchessa Valmarana of Mira to the Villa Pisani of Strà; to the Villa Giovanelli at Noventa Padovana, the visit to the Old Mills of the XVI century at Dolo and the guide; lunch is optional; other programmes include the Venetian Lagoon.

From the 1997 , we have included on the programmes a particular visit to the old Mills of the XVI century, historically very important for the economy of this area

From the 2000, some programmes include departure or arrival in the historical centre of Padua at the new fluvial harbour “Porte Contarine” or at the old fluvial harbour “Portello” with its Steps of the XVI century.

A three hour boat trip, foresees: arrival at Monselice and visit to the Ca' Marcello Castle; boarding or transfer by your own coach to Rivella; optional visit of Villa Emo, in palladian style by Scamozzi; boarding and panoramic navigation by typical wooden boats crossing the ancient coastal village of Battaglia Terme with its houses along the canal banks and a interesting stone bridge; crossing the lock of Battaglia Terme which permit to lower the water level of 7 metres; navigation to the Navigation Museum; inside finds and witness to an ancient river civilizations; optional visit to the Catajo Castle. In addition to the boat programs, it is possible to make excursions by coach to the venetian villas of Vicenza and Treviso, to the walled towns and eno-gastronomical itineraries visiting wine cellars with wine taste. According to your budget, packages of excursions and hotel accomodations (two, three, four stars) are available. Hiring of villas for dinner and parties.

General Information and menus

The above-mentioned rates 2002 are for groups of at a least of 25 people. Standard departures will be carried out combining 35 people at a least, but all the excursions can be also personalized.

The entrance-fees of Villa Pisani,Villa Giovanelli Villa Barchessa Valmarana, Villa Widmann or Villa Malcontenta are not included in the programmes and they could be added, on request, or could be paid from the customers directly. .We normally suggest to add the visit of no more of two villas besides the Villa Gradenigo which entrance-fees are already included in the programmes. The entrance-fees to the Villa Barchessa Valmarana and Villa Giovanelli Foscarini costEuro 4,00 per person,, to the Villa Widmann Euro 5,00 per person, to the Villa Malcontenta Euro 8,00 per person, to the Villa Pisani Euro 5,00 per person, free for the E.
